Description

The collection contains six letters from Dustin to his brother in Vermont discussing California politics, the political influence in California of the Vigilance Committees, earthquakes, gold mining in California, and his trip across the Panamanian isthmus. Dustin took part in the California gold rush of 1849-1855.
