Description

Diary of an unidentified hobo living in Los Angeles, CA during the Great Depression. The author, who hailed from Akron, OH, traveled West via freight train to Chicago, Portland, San Francisco and finally to Los Angeles, where it appears the diary was written. The diary primarily discusses the authors physical circumstances staying in depression era "Hoover Hotels" and on park benches as well as his struggle to get food and his negative feelings towards religious missions to help the poor.
