Butterfield Family papers
Description
The papers of the Butterfield family consists of letters between family members, six of which attended Dartmouth College between the years 1828 to 1966. The letters detail family life, farming and their time at Dartmouth College, Kimball Union Academy and Hartford Theological Seminary. This collection also includes correspondence regarding Ernest W. Butterfield's work as the Dartmouth class of 1897 secretary and manuscript material of his published and unpublished writings about education reform and missionary work.In addition the collection includes correspondence, photographs, deeds and family histories collected and authored by Claude A. Butterfield.
