Carl Harkort papers
Description
The papers of Carl Peter Harkort include diaries, short stories, newspaper clippings, photographs, and certificates. Also included are traditional Alaskan artifacts including two knives, a ceremonial pipe, two small pouches, a harpoon point, a miniature kayak, leather moccasins, a leather knife sheath, a beaded leather rifle case, multiple bone carvings, and small carved wooden animals. Much of the written material is in German.
