Abstract

Donald Claflin (1935-1979), jewelry designer. The collection contains over 300 watercolor designs for jewelry; including rings, bracelets, pendants, necklaces, brooches and earrings.

Custodial History

Angela Cummings, head designer at Tiffany's sent 59 drawings to Kenneth Spritz, director foundations & corporate relations on April 10,1985. On April 22, 1985, those 59 drawings were transferred from the Hood Museum of Art to the Donald Claflin Jewelry Studio. Its possible that additional drawings were given to the Studio by the Howard Gilman Foundation.
