Ray Nash papers

The papers of Ray Nash contain personal and professional correspondence, typescripts, drafts, galley proofs, book plates, press samples, teaching aids, student exams and printed work, as well as photographs, brochures, financial information, meeting minutes, reports, woodblocks of student work and printed ephemera. The collection documents Nash's work as a teacher of graphic arts and letterpress printer primarily at Dartmouth College. Materials include print jobs for Dartmouth College, Dartmouth Publishing, and Stinehour Press, as well as material related to his work with the Plantin-Moretus Museum in Belgium, the "Printing and Graphic Arts" quarterly, and the journal "Print." Correspondents include Josef Albers, Philip Hofer, E. Harold Hugo, Sinclair Hitchings, David R. Godine, Paul J. Sachs, Stephen Harvard, Ellic Howe, Elmer Adler, Dana Atchley, Vrest Orton, Leonard Baskin, Leon Voet, Thomas H. Littlefied, Joseph Low, J.J. Lankes, Alvin Eisenman, Roderick Stinehour, Charles G.
