Description

Printed auction broadside with letters and notes on verso. Letter is from Julia Dow and her Mother Polly S. Dow, both of Hanover, NH. They write to Eliza Dow (and her unnamed sister) in Methuen, Mass. concerning their impending move west. Additional margin notes by brother Lewis Dow and probable father "A.D." (Agrippa Dow) are also present. The printed broadside (48 cm) is for the sale of the family farm north of Hanover, NH. on the Lyme Rd. and is set for 13 March 1847. The whole was folded sent as a letter, postal stamped at Hanover, NH.
