Petition and list of subscribers asking that a school be established in the center district of Hanover, and a second list subscribing to prolongation of the school term. On the reverse of the sheet is a statement about procuring a schoolmaster, dated October 6, 1791, as well as a map showing Dr. Wheelock's 300 acres, The Governor's Lot and Phillip's wood lot. Subscribers include Jonathan Freeman (1745-1808), Nathaniel Wright (1747-1828), Stephen Benton, Otis Freeman (1748-1832), Ghirshon Page, Nathan West (b. 1749), Roger Hovey, Joel Brown, Abel Bridgeman, Samuel Wright and Jacob Eaton.
