The wine vaults, wine rooms and premises in Tunbridge Wells belonged to Thomas Thomas, a London wine merchant who leased the property to Mr. Edward Neal of Tunbridge Wells in Sussex, another wine merchant. A week later he leases the same property for thirty-six years to Walter Sprott, who had bought the lease from Edward Neal.
