Description
John Taylor writes from Basseterre Guardaloupe to West India merchant and slave trader John Tarleton of Liverpool, to tell him that in his opinion the islands of Grenada, Saint Vincent and Guadeloupe have merit for purchasing an estate or plantation. The exchange between the two men takes place in advance of the expected ceding of several islands in the West Indies from France to the British upon the conclusion of the Seven Years' War.
