Description
The collection contains correspondence, signed body disposal certificates, burial permits, notebooks, and printed material related to the history of the Anatomical Gift Program at the Dartmouth Medical School. Burial permits date back to 1934 and correspondence to 1943. Correspondence includes requests and inquiries into the protocols of body donation for teaching purposes. Of note are the many unsolicited letters from people willing to sell their bodies to the medical school.
