Description

The collection contains correspondence, news-clippings, and other ephemera related to Robert Frost from the papers of Henry T. Meigs, Clarks Hill, Indiana. The correspondence document Meig forwarding letters to Frost via the publisher Henry Colt Company from 1915 to 1916. The collection includes an autographed letter by William Dean Howells and a copy of a letter by Robert Frost reacting to Meig’s praise of A Boy’s Will. Additional materials include a first edition, first state copy of A Boy’s Will. New York: Henry Holt Co, 1915 inscribed by Meigs, a review of North of Boston by Edward Garnett in the Atlantic Monthly, and newspaper clippings related to Frost.
