Description
Priscilla “Sally” Frechette Maynard, Dartmouth College Trustee, 1979-1989. Oral history interview discussing her tenure as the first female Trustee of Dartmouth during three college presidencies. Maynard discusses her relationship to Dartmouth from the 1930s through the 1980s, and changes to the campus culture during this time. She also addresses her selection as a trustee, and the challenges facing the board during her time of service. She includes many impressions of Dartmouth College presidents John Kemeny, David McLaughlin, and James Freedman throughout. Interviewed by Jane L. Carroll on October 9, 1997 in Hanover, N.H.
