John Phillips Ripley letter
Description
Four page letter from John Phillips Ripley to Mrs. Abigail Ripley, informing her that Poland has been conquered by the Russian army. Writer was arrested in Galicia and turned back from his attempt to join the Polish army. He has had a fever but is recovered.
