Letter from Mumford Dolbeane of Montville, [Conn.] to John Seabury giving him news of the family, especially the visit of Seabury's mother and the health of Catherine Mumford. Describes the questionable circumstances which brought about a local marriage and gives account of another, similar case, in which the husband-to-be eluded the chaser.
