Abstract
The Mary Hitchcock School of Nursing was established in 1893, at the same time the hospital was founded through the beneficence of Hiram Hitchcock. In 1976, a report was issued recommending the closing of the school and was accepted by the hospital trustees; the last class graduated in 1980. The records of the MHMH School of Nursing comprise meeting minutes, correspondences, reports, curricular materials and student records, as well as records of the student government, and documentation of accreditation though the National Nursing League.
