Description

Three-page letter from Benjamin Hale at Dartmouth College to Thomas Hale in Newbury, Massachusetts, telling him that his roommate, Abner, is ill. Difficutlies existing between some of the Officers of the College are of serious nature. A pamphlet written by Dr. Parish is "abusive" of the Professors and Trustees. President has laid his charges against Trustees before the Legislature and obtained his request that a commitee might be appointed to look into these affairs. Revival almost over. An Elephant in these regions.
