John Payne jr. letter
Description
Two page letter from John Payne jr. and Daniel Huestus of Hanover to William Morris Sec. of the Society for the propagation of the Gospel in foreign parts, London. Lands in the New Hamshire grants which were allotted to the Society have been held by persons without paying and without title except that of possession. Rev. Ranna Cosset has endeavored to avoid such proceedings but writer feel that the Society should lease out the lands before the best of them is all taken up.
