Three page letter from Rev. Dr. John McFarlan of Edin(burgh) to Rev. Samuel Mather the Society in Scotland, telling him that he will not pay the whole of the amount demanded by Kirkland, as for part of the time he was a chaplain in the American army. They wish to continue to employ him in his mission.
