Two-page letter from Benjamin Joseph Gilbert, William Henry Woodward, Richard Land and others in Hanover to Roswell Shurtleff in Middlebury, Vermont, expresssing the pleasure of the peopls of Hanover at Shurtleff's appointment as professor of divinity which they consider includes the pastorship of their church. They have raised a subscription to contribute to his support.
