Letter from George Woodward in Haverhill to Daniel Webster: "...We shall be much dissapointed should you fail in the service of the warrant on Putney. Should he be at liberty you will take early measures to apprehend him, perhaps have the warrant served at the time he comes out to prevent an escape...You will receive her your old note, the $63 were received and indorsed as requested..."
