Alexander Hamilton letter
Description
Four letters from Alexander Hamilton to Benjamin Lincoln of Boston as Secretary of the Treasury, pertaining to Treasury Dept. and other financial matters. The letter dated 1790 is in Hamilton's hand throughout, that of 1794 is in clerical hand, signed by H.; the printed circular is completed in a clerical hand, but signed by Hamilton. The slip with "General Lincoln" is in Hamilton's hand, but the pencilled works "Alexr. Hamilton" are not in Hamilton's own handwriting.
