Description

Two-page letter from Boot and Pratt in Boston to Daniel Webster, telling him that they did not suspect Mr. Dix capable of such conduct. Would Webster please send the particulars of the securities Dix has given on their account. He was to have deposited notes of $2,000 and has only given Webster $900. He ought not to have any further leniency shown him.
