Dartmouth College, Casque and Gauntlet records

The collection contains materials related to the activities, operations, and physical plant of Casque and Gauntlet Senior Society dating from 1887-1987. Much of the correspondence present pertains to dinners, anniversaries, and other special events, designed as opportunities to reconnect with past members as well as offer donations to the society. Photos, correspondence, and other commemorative items document the society’s centennial in 1987.

In addition, photo books and ledgers document early activities of the society, and several song books contribute to the understanding of these activities. Copies of bound membership directories, reports and bulletins are also amongst the files.

Notable correspondence from the trustees regarding the status of alumni support and activities as well as documentation of renovations of the physical plant and manuals and guides for officers and activities organizers are also included.
