Description

The papers reflect the undergraduate years of George Bourozikas and his participation in student activism at Dartmouth College. The collection contains letters, memoranda, campus publications, flyers, and reports. Researchers will find correspondence with college administrators concerning divestment in South Africa. Correspondence and other documents reflect student protests for divestment, including the Baker Tower sit-in and the shanties on the college green, as well as disciplinary decisions by the Committee on Standing and Conduct. Collection documents activities of the Dartmouth Community for Divestment. Of interest is a working paper by Prof. John Hennessey, Ethical aspects of South African divestment debate on American university campuses. In addition to documenting the divestment controversy, the collection relates to the International Students Association and the radio station, WDCR-WFRD.
