Two-page letter from Daniel Webster in Salisbury to James Hervey Bingham in Lempster, New Hampshire in which he describes the beginning if his study of law [with his patron Thomas W. Thompson]. Mentions Mr. Greenm the attorney at Concord, who is looking for a clerk. Webster proposes this to his friend. Mentions Mr. Abbot who works with him. On reverse side with address:" Entrusted to the polite attention of Solon Stevens, Charleston."
