John L. Ames (1895-1996), army officer and business man. Dartmouth College Class of 1916. Consist of correspondence, photographs, clippings, articles, newsletters and pamphlets relating to his career as an Army officer in World War I, II and beyond.

Custodial History

The Papers of John Lincoln Ames, Jr. were a gift from Mr. Ames to the Dartmouth College Library in 1985.
