Herbert Faulkner West papers
Description
The papers of Herbert Faulkner West contain records of the accounts of his book selling businesses, Herbert F. West Booksellers and Westholm Publications, as well as correspondence with many of the important writers of the twentieth century. Manuscripts of his books, published and unpublished, including "The Dreamer of Devon: An Essay on Henry Williamson," " "John Sloane's Last Summer,""What Price Teaching?," and "Learning my ABC'c" are also included. Correspondents include Robert Frost, Robert Bontine Cunninghame Graham, Henry Miller, Maxfield Parrish, Anais Nin, Paul Sample and Ben Ames Williams. Artwork by West as well as some teaching and personal material is also included.
