Abstract

Testament of East Chesterfield, NH Constable Andrew Hastings that he has received from Abner Ally one dead adult wolf. Verso includes a receipt for 10 pounds to satisfy the NH General Court's bounty for the wolf. The money was received by Ally from Nicholas Gilman on March 13, 1779.

The document is officially canceled by a hole in the paper.

The records chronicle the history of the Fellowship under the leadership of founders Charles and Eugenia Weller and directors Willard and Ola Uphaus and Christoph and Kathryn Schmauch.

Content Description

The collection contains 2 bound volumes describing the establishment, organization and accounts of the New Ipswich Academy located in New Ipswich, NH and kept by the school's proprietors. The school would later be renamed Appleton Academy after benefactor Samuel Appleton. A letter from Joseph Barrett to Rev. Thomas Burda and Articles of Agreement between the Trustees of the Academy and the State of New Hampshire are also included.
