Scope and Contents The collection includes account books originating from the Upper Connecticut River Valley as well as various New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and Maine towns. The majority of the books are from the 18th and 19th centuries, but a few extend into the 20th Century. Thespis Collection. The collection contains miscellaneous ephemeral materials related to the history of theater and the performing arts. The materials are topically arranged and include printed programs, publicity stills, souvenir booklets, stage designs, and the occasional student paper.

Scope and Contents

The collection contains souvenir programs and playbills for performances at theaters in the United States and abroad, after 1911. The domestic playbills have an emphasis on New York and Boston theaters. The collection consists of mostly original playbills with some photocopies among them. They are organized by theater.
