Peter Olcott (1733-1808), lawyer and judge. Dartmouth Honorary Degree 1790 and Trustee. The collection contains correspondence, account books, deeds and other legal papers, including settlement of his estate. Includes material on land speculation, settlement in Norwich, VT., and establishment of a store there.
Captain-General Chittenden orders Olcott to have officers chosen for his brigade and their names sent in for commissions. They need to increase their quota of men.
