Letter from Samuel Sparhawk of Concord, New Hampshire to Nathaniel Gilman of Exeter, New Hampshire inquiring about a sum of money appropriated by the New Hampshire legislature, and a gift of land, for the Dartmouth College Medical School.On conjugate leaf, a letter from Nathaniel Gilman to Governor Plumer, dated 10 Feb. 1813, on the appropriation for the Medical School.

Letter from Timothy Gerrish of Portsmouth, New Hampshire to Nathaniel Gilman. Gilman wanted him to pay the jurors but there will also be considerable fees for witnesses before the Grand Jury. The amount for jurors this week is $ 400 One of the jurors, Jacob Cochran gave him $ 4.10 for the balance due on state taxes for the town of Pembroke. He wonders if he has done wrong in receiving this money.
