Letter from Daniel Webster (1782-1852) to Samuel Ayer Bradley (1801-1874) filling Bradley in on the status of the relationship between the Secretary and Miss W. which seems to no longer be an active one. Webster also informs Bradley that Nathaniel Green has left, leaving his creditors behind and that Webster had spend Thanksgiving in Concord where several marriages had taken place. Typescript of the letter is also included.

Letter from Daniel Webster (1782-1852) to Samuel Ayer Bradley (1801-1874) introducing A. Lucas from North Carolina, who would like to print a correct journal of the congressional proceedings. Webster informs Bradley that the Bank has passed and that the Tariff is nearly finished. Discussing related political matters, Webster states that he believes that the manufacturing interest has become a strong distinct political party. Typescript of the letter is also included.

Webster is also looking forward to getting away from Congress by which, he feels, imprisoned. Includes one manuscript page addressed to Bradley. According to a note the original of the letter was in the possession of Mrs. Charles R. Mattson in 1941.

Manuscript of Daniel Webster (1782-1852) speech and resolutions on the famine in Ireland. Includes corrected proofs of his speech on slavery known as the "7th of March speech," four letters, and eighteen engraved portraits of Webster, some of which are scarce. Correspondents include Thomas Aspinwall (1786-1876), William Plumer Jr. (1789-1854) and William P. Gardiner. Codex is bound in a large quorto volume of full red levant morocco.

He also writes of a published speech he was ill prepared to give and concerns over legislation relating to paying Spain to settle outstanding claims related to the the Adams-Onis Treaty.

Another bank project has been started. Writer hopes to be at Hopkinton court. He has practiced in the Supreme Court and greatly admires Marshall. The Yazoo bill has been passed. Mason is growing to be a great man. Includes notation of presentation of letter to Robert H. Parkinson from Frank W. Gunsaulus in 1916.
