Biography
Shasta Publishers was a science fiction and fantasy small press specialty publishing house founded in 1947 by Erle Melvin Korshak, T. E. Dikty, and Mark Reinsberg. Publications include "The Checklist of Fantastic Literature," by Everett F. Bleiler as well as fiction by John W. Campbell, Jr., L. Ron Hubbard, Robert A. Heinlein, A. E. van Vogt, and others. The company ceased in 1957 and Melvin Korshak went on to Dorchester Publishing Company, a publisher of mass market paperback books.
