The collection contains a contract, correspondence and several telegrams related to Vilhjalmur Stefansson's book "Survival: Man Against Nature." The book went unpublished, but the manuscript was prepared for Melvin Korshak's Shasta Publishers. Correspondents include Melvin Korshak, Lawrence Hughes (Pocket Books), Olive Wilcox, and Margaret Follett, Stefansson's secretary. A condolence telegram on Stefansson's death from Korshak to Evelyn Stefansson is also included.
