Stark family

 

Biography

Caleb Stark was born on December 3, 1759 in Dunbarton, NH. He was the eldest son of General John Stark. During the American Revolution, Caleb served with his father in the 1st New Hampshire Regiment as an ensign. He remained in the Continental Army until the war was over, rising to the rank of major. In 1811, he started the first cotton mill in Suncook, NH. He also served in the New Hampshire Senate from 1818 to 1819. Stark died on August 28, 1838.
