Three-page letter from John Richards in Hanover, New Hampshire to Increase Niles Tarbox, relating details of the Lewis Lawton case in which the church beneficiaries had put Lawton, a Dartmouth student, on probation for not attending prayer meetings, his poor choice of companions, and his indulgence in card playing. Wants to know if the Rev. Tarbox plans to attend the American Education Society anniversary meeting in Pittsfield.
