Biography

Kenneth Spritz attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he graduated in 1970 with an A.B. in Dramatic Art. He later earned an M.F.A. in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College. While working at the Hudson River Museum as Assistant Curator of Exhibitions, Spritz produced an exhibit and book on the history of American theatre to accompany the bicentennial of America's founding. After a stint at the New York State Council on the Arts, Spritz came to Dartmouth in 1979 as Director of External Relations for the Hopkins Center, where he oversaw arts development at the college. In 1985, Spritz became Dartmouth's Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations, a position he held for nine years. He later continued to work in development, holding positions at World Learning and at Boston's Museum of Science.
