Biography
Lloyd "Pudge" Neidlinger was born in Brooklyn, NY on Dec. 23, 1901. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a BS in 1923. After graduation, he became assistant to the president of Peerless Tool Company. He then worked with several Boston architectural firms until returning to Dartmouth in 1933 as assistant dean. He became Dean of the College in 1934, a position he held until 1952. After leaving Dartmouth, Neidlinger served as executive director of the Council of International Chambers of Commerce and as director of college recruitment for the International Paper Company. He retired in 1965 and died in Hyannis, Mass. on April 4, 1978.

The oral history interview of Lloyd Neidlinger is comprised of six audiocassette recordings and a tape log of the recordings. The interview was conducted by Jere Daniell on several occasions beginning on September 14, 1976. The entire interview runs for approximately six hours.
