Biography
Irving Bender was born on August 27, 1893 in New York, NY. He graduated from the University of Michigan with an AB in 1915. He was hired by the psychology department of Dartmouth College in 1926 and retired as Professor Emeritus of Pschology in 1959. He was also affiliated with the Dartmouth Eye Institute and served as chairman of the psychology department from 1941-1947. He died in Hanover on May 20, 1976.
