Richard Goddard was born on March 3, 1897 in New London, CT. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1921 and in 1927 was hired by the college as Professor of Astronomy. He retired with Emeritus status in 1963 and died in 1981 in Kensington, CT.

Scope and Contents The oral history interview of Richard Goddard is comprised of three audiocassette recordings and a tape log of the recordings. The interview was conducted by Arthur Wilson from Oct. 17 to Oct. 24, 1977 in Norwich, VT. The entire interview runs for approximately three hours.
