Richard Goddard papers
Description
The papers of Richard H. Goddard contain correspondence, financial records, photographs and negatives, writings, journals, agreements and reports as well as teaching and course material related to Goddard's trips to the Arctic and work done at the Huancayo Magnetic Observatory in Peru. Papers relating to the teaching of astronomy at Dartmouth College, the use of Shattuck Observatory and the training of Navy V-12 students are also included. Of note are Goddard's journals of his expeditions to Greenland and Baffin Island with Donald B. MacMillan and the more than 800 negatives and prints resulting from these expeditions.
