Biography
Samuel Barrett was born on March 27, 1798 in Ashby, Massachusetts. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1822 after which he studied medicine with Dr. Josiah Haskell of Ashby. Barrett moved to Virginia to teach and practice medicine and later to Georgia where he worked as a physician until 1832. He died on July 19, 1833.
