Biography

Isaac N, Blodgett was born on March 6, 1838 in Canaan, New Hampshire. After graduating from the Canaan Union Academy, he took up the study of law in with William P. Weeks in 1857, after which he entered the office of Hon. Anson S. Marshall in Concord, NH. Blodgett was admitted to the bar in 1860 after which he opened his own law office. Blodgett was a member of the house of representatives from Franklin in 1871, 1873, 1874 and 1878; a member of the state senate in 1879 and a member of the constitutional conventions of 1876, 1889 and 1903. In 1880, he was appointed associate judge of the Supreme Court, a position he held until 1902. He died in 1905.
