Biography
Fredrick D. Forsch was born in 1915 in New York City. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1937. Forsch held a law degree from Yale University and served as a captain of intelligence in the Army Air Forces during World War II. He was assigned to the Free French as a liaison officer. Before he started his own investment firm, Frederick D. Forsch Inc., he was a securities analyst and corporate officer with Lazard Freres and Kuhn, Loeb. Forsch retired in 1987 and died in December 1993. Over his lifetime, Forsch had amassed one of the best private collections of Winston Churchill memorabilia.

Frederick D. Forsch (1915-1993), investment banker and collector of Churchilliana. Dartmouth College Class of 1937. The collection contains writings, correspondence, photographs, and autographs by Winston Churchill (1874-1965), prime minister of England. Political cartoons and drawings about Churchill, as well as out-of print newspapers and other printed memorabilia including LP records of his speeches and memoirs are also included.
