Buckminster, Joseph, 1751-1812

 

Biography

Joseph Buckminster was born in 1751. He was the son of Joseph Buckminster and Lucy (Williams) Buckminster. He graduated from Yale University in 1770. In 1779, he was ordained in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He was the minister at the North Church in Portsmouth, New Hampshire from 1779 until 1812. First, he married Sarah "Sally" Stephens. Second, he married Mary Lyman. Third, he married Mrs. Eliphalet Ladd (his widow). He passed away in 1812.
