Description

The papers of David McClure contain correspondence, deeds, sermons, writings, notes, legal papers and journals related to his personal and professional life and that of his large extended family. Many of the items relate to his involvement with Moor's Charity School, in Lebanon Connecticut and Hanover New Hampshire as well as his work as a tutor and trustee of Dartmouth College. Material related to his service as pastor of the church at North Hampton is also included. Family names represented here include Pomeroy, McClintock, Tudor, Thayer, Hunter, Wolcott, Randlet, Brush, Green, Russell, Reed, Perry, Murdock and Gillet.
