Biography
Daniel D. Tompkins was an American politician. He was the fourth governor of New York from 1807 to 1817, and the sixth vice president of the United States from 1817 to 1825.

State Militia has been exhaustes and enclosing a request for an additional $75,000. Discusses responsiblity for paying troops and informing him that the district paymaster for the Militia and quarter-master general of the US have declined to take responsibility. 100,00 men are already in service...
