Biography
Timothy Farrar Jr was born on November 17, 1788 in New Ipswich, New Hampshire. He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1807, after which he studied law at Daniel Webster's law firm. Webster later asked him to join the firm as his partner in 1813. In 1822, Farrar moved to Hanover were he practiced law as well as serving as secretary, treasurer and librarian of Dartmouth College. Farrar served as one of several counselors for the Trustees of Dartmouth College in the Dartmouth College Case of 1918.
