Material consists of articles, newspaper clippings, correspondence, Stone's dissertation "Deutschland, Danzig und Polen 1918-1932," from the University of Berlin, 1932; diary entries, newsletters and news releases; pamphlets, papers written during Stone's undergraduate days at Dartmouth College, CBS radio scripts, reports of interviews with foreign officials and other miscellaneous items. Persons of note included in the correspondence include Edward R. Murrow, Arthur Hays Sulzberger and Adolph Ochs of The New York Times Thomas Mann, Walter Wanger and Arthur Krock.
